Aditi Ashok finishes tied 13th at Gainbridge LPGA

Back to back roller coaster rounds dismissed Aditi Ashok’s hopes to finish her first start of the year inside the top-10.
Aditi, who started the event with a blistering 6-under 66 to lie third, had a decent run in the remaining rounds to end her run at the tied-13th place at the Gainbridge LPGA at Boca Rio.
The young Indian with rounds of (66,72,76,70) completed her campaign at a total score of 4-under 284.
Lydia Ko outlasted the competitors to win her seventeenth LPGA Tour title and took home $300,000 prize money event.
The world number three from New Zealand went into the last round with a two-shot lead, carded a 3-under 69 in the final round and with three birdies on the back nine, she claimed the victory by one stroke.

The 24-year-old Ko had a busy day on the course with Danielle Kang, as both players had neck-and-neck rounds, but on the 18th hole, Kang required a birdie to force a playoff but was unable to do so and lost the game.
The winner of the first LPGA event of 2022, Danielle Kang, posted 4-under 68 to finish just one shot back of the winner. Japanese golfer Yuka Saso was a further shot back at 12-under.
World No.1 Nelly Korda, who started as the pre-tournament favourite, ended her campaign at the tied-20th spot.
