Ajeetesh Sandhu starts with solid 69, lies T-24th at Dutch Open

Ajeetesh Sandhu posted a solid 3-under 69 in the opening round to grab a place inside top-25 at the Dutch Open.
The 2019 Jeev Milkha Singh invitational champion, Sandhu, had five birdies in his first round and shot only one bogey to end his day one proceeding at the tied-24th position.
Kieffer Maximillian of Germany grabbed the opening round lead after posting 6-under 66 in his first-day journey at the Bernardus Golf Course in the Netherlands.
The 31-year-old golfer smashed four birdies on the front and four on the back nine and made two errors in the form of bogeys, one at 13th and the other at the 18th hole.

The other Indian playing in the event, Shubhankar Sharma, was just a shot back of Ajeetesh and secured tied tied-36th position after the end of round one.
Shubhankar, who is currently standing at 78th position in the race to Dubai competition, has to finish this and the upcoming last four events of the season at a decent position in order to retain his card for the next season.
The 25-year-old climbed from 104 to 78 last week after a tied-9th finish at the BMW Championship.
American Collin Morikawa is currently sitting at the top with 3856.38 points, followed by another American, Billy Herschel (3579.53) at second, and the current World No.1 in OWGR Jon Rahm, at third with 3367.01 points.
