Amateur Avani Prashanth stunned the top pros and shot blistering 6-under 66 to grab the second-round lead in the eleventh leg of Hero WPGT.

Avani, who posted a dreary 76 on the first day, made a solid comeback in the second round, and with the help of six birdies, she claimed the top position going into the final round.

Panchkula golfer Amandeep Drall had a decent second round in which she shot four birdies against three bogeys and one double-bogey.

WPGT Order of Merit leader Amandeep fired 70 and 73 in two days respectively to sit at solo second position at the Rs. 9 lakh prize money event.

Round one leader Pranavi Urs carded 2-over in the second round to slip from overnight top position to joint second at the Panchkula Golf Club.

Saaniya Sharma of Chandigarh, with the aid of an eagle and four birdies, shot a fantastic 6-under 66 to grab solo fourth with two days total of 3-over 145.

Pack of three golfers, including the veteran Vani Kapoor, were at the tied-5th position with 4-over 146.

12-time WPGT champion Neha Tripathi among six golfers failed to make the cut. While, Geetika Ahuja withdrew from the event.
