England’s Danny Willett has won his seventh European Tour title with an excellent final round of -5 under 67 at the European Tour BMW PGA Championship on this Sunday.
It is the biggest win of Willett’s career since the 2016 Us Masters and the first one on the home soil.
The 2016 US Masters champion, Willett, began the final day at the tied first position with Jon Rahm. But he shot birdies at the second and third holes which help the Englishman to overtake Rahm, who manages 70 in the final round to finish second at the Wentworth Golf Club, Virginia Water, Surrey, United Kingdom.
With this solid victory, Willett climbs back to 31st in the world rankings and he also takes an instant lead in the qualification process for Europe’s Ryder Cup team for the 2020 game at Whistling Straits, Wisconsin.

Jon Rahm, who was tied with Willett after 3 days, managed only a two-under 70 on the final fourth day and ended second at 17-under 271.
The South African Christiaan Bezuidenhout finished his campaign at a third position with -15 under 267. Also, the American Billy Horschel finished at a fourth position with -15 under 273.
The winner of the last month’s Northern Trust event Patrick Reed played a six-under 66 in the final round to be tied at the fourth position.
Justin Rose, too, dropped two back-to-back double bogeys and dropped from overnight third to the eighth position at - 12 under 276.
The Indian golfer Shubhankar Sharma who shots a superb six-under 66 to tied third at the end of the 3rd round on Saturday. Loses his momentum on the final round on Sunday, where he played a disappointing game and slipped from overnight tied third to finish at tied 17th place at the BMW PGA Championships.
