Indian Golfers at the Olympics and what should we expect.

112 years is what it took for the international Olympic committee to bring golf back to a stage it always deserved (the games that matter). At the 2016 Rio Olympics, the Indian golf squad is bound to get representation from its finest players which over time have proven their worth and made us all so proud.
Qualification will be based on world ranking as of 11 July 2016, with a total of 60 players qualifying in each of the men's and women's events. The top 15 players of each gender will qualify, with a limit of four golfers per country that can qualify this way. The remaining spots go to the highest ranked players from countries that do not already have two qualified golfers.
With Anirban Lahiri , Shiv Kapur and S.S.P Chawrasia leading the Indian brigade along with youngsters such as Rashid Khan, Khalin Joshi, the Indian pros would certainly give a tough fight to the American and European Golfers. Here is the list of probable golfers that will represent India at the olympics.

Thanks to a rule that states ‘the top-15 ranked players from both men and women will qualify, with a maximum of four per country, which has made it possible for players like Aditi to represent their respective countries.
Aditi's inclusion would certainly add up to the Indian arsenal.
Zika as a threat:
Leading stars like Rory Mcllroy, Adam Scott, Shane Lowry and Jason Day have withdrawn because of the Zika virus. In all 11 have done so far which has made room for golfers like Lahiri and Chawrasia to bring glories to their country.
