Masters 2022: Sungjae Im holds narrow lead over Cameron Smith

The 2-time PGA Tour winner Im had brilliant first-nine holes, where he smashed flawless 4-under 32. He then lost control on the 10th and 11th, which resulted in two consecutive bogeys, but a par on the 12th and an eagle on the 13th helped him to reach 4-under, and with three pars and one more birdie, he ended his day one at 5-under 67.
The big cat Tiger Woods, who returned to competitive golf after almost one and a half years, shot a decent 1-under 71 to lie at tied-10th heading into round two.
Pre-tournament favourite Jon Rahm had a dreary first round in which he posted 2-over 74 to be placed tied-43rd.
Many big players, including the former Masters' Tournament winners Jordan Spieth and Patrick Reed, were also at the tied-43rd position.
