Pranavi Urs beats Gaurika Bishnoi in playoff to win first leg of Hero WPGT

Pranavi Urs defeated Gaurika Bishnoi with a birdie on the first hole of a sudden-death playoff to win the first leg of 2022 Hero WPGT.
Both Pranavi and Gaurika started their final round campaign in the same group, with Gaurika having a 3-shot advantage. But the table turned after the first nine holes as Gaurika had dreary first-nine holes, in which she shot a 2-over 38, while Pranavi grabbed the oppourtunity with both hands and carded a superb 2-under 34 to claim a one-shot lead.
Pranavi then lost her control and shot a bogey on the 10th, followed by two pars and one more bogey that again pushed her one-shot behind Gaurika, who shot four consecutive pars.
The game again turned into Urs favour when Pranavi smashed two back-to-back birdies on the 14th and 15th whereas Bishnoi witnessed a bogey on the 14th and a par on the 15th.

Both then shot pars on the 16th, and Pranavi was 2-shot ahead with two holes to play.
Pranavi, on the par-4 17th hole, struck a par while Gaurika narrowed the gap with a superb birdie. On the last hole, Pranavi missed the chance to emerge as a clear winner as she had a bogey, and Bishnoi matched her score with a par to a force playoff.
On the first extra hole, Bishnoi had a par while Pranavi, with her confident approach, shot a superb birdie to claim her 3rd WPGT title.
The amateur Sneha Singh, who played consistent game throughout the event, finished her run at solo third with a total score of 2-under 214.
