Rory McIlroy part of 3-way tie for lead at Hero World Challenge

Rory McIlroy fired a solid 6-under 66 to share the first-round lead with Daniel Berger and Abraham Ancer at the Hero World Challenge.
The 20-time PGA Tour champion McIlroy made eight birdies and an eagle against one double bogey in his spectacular first-round to sit atop of the leader board along with two others.
Daniel Berger of the United States had a fantastic first day at the Albany Golf Course, making six birdies, an eagle, and only one bogey to tie for lead Rory McIlroy of Northern Ireland and Australian Abraham Ancer.
Ancer, who secured his first PGA Tour victory nearly four months ago, made only one error on the par-5 ninth hole, and with the help of six birdies, he also reached the top spot.

McIlroy, who has been in the spotlight for the previous two weeks as a result of his ripped shirt incident, was fired up to do some magic on the course and based on the type of golf he has played in the past, it's safe to say that we witnessed vintage McIlroy on day one at Ablony.
The other notable stars, including Brooks Koepka and Justin Thomas, along with Webb Simpson, were at a tied-4th place with just one shot behind leaders.
While Patrick Reed, Tony Finau, Viktor Hovland and Collin Morikawa; were tied for eleventh going into the second round of Hero World Challenge.
