Shubhankar Sharma finishes T-32nd at the Wales Open

A rollercoaster event for Shubhankar Sharma has finally ended with a positive finish at Wales Open.
The young Indian golfer Shubhankar carded a blistering 8-under 63 in the final round to regain his confidence for upcoming challenges at the European Tour.
Sharma, who lost his way in the third round, bounced back with a solid mindset to end his campaign at a tied-32nd position at the twenty-ten course.
The 2018 Arjuna awardee was at the tied-21st position after the midway stage, but his 6-over par in the third round threw him far away to claim a respectable place at the leaderboard.
Sharma then smashed seven birdies and one eagle in the final round to climb back inside top-35 and finished the tournament with an overall score of 3-under 281.
Nacho Elvira of Spain won his first European Tour title with a playoff victory over Justin Harding at Cazoo Wales Open.

Elvira, the world number 694, parred the first extra hole to claim the title at the European Tour’s €1,250,000 prize money event.
It was Elvira’s first triumph on Tour in his 195th attempt, and he dedicated his victory to Celia Barquin Arozamena, who was murdered in 2018.
Mikko Korhonen (66) and Justin Harding (65) had both played their first 15 holes of the final round in six-under-par to share the lead on 16-under, with Elvira playing his first 14 holes in one over.
But, the Spaniard Elvira wanted some drama, as he birdied the 15th and then 17th hole to retake the lead.
Korhonen ended a shot behind the joint-leaders after a costly bogey on the 17th, with Callum Shinkwin (67) another stroke back in the fourth position.
