The Preview - Jeev Milkha Singh Invitational 2021

The much-anticipated Indian golf event of the professional golf tour of India is only two days away.
Jeev Milkha Singh Invitational, which is contested every year in a stroke play format, is all set to resume from November 11th at the Chandigarh Golf Club, Chandigarh.
The event will include notable international players such as Shiv Kapur, SSP Chawrasia, Jyoti Randhawa, Gaganjeet Bhullar, the host of the tournament Jeev Milkha Singh, Chikkarangappa S to name a few.
The foreign challenge will be led by Sri Lankans Mithun Perera and N Thangaraja and Bangladeshis Md Zamal Hossain Mollah and Badal Hossain.
Players to watch out for

Gaganjeet Bhullar – The 9-time Asian Tour Champion, making his return to the PGTI after 11 months.
Jyoti Randhawa – Most prolific Indian golfer with 23 professional wins under his belt.
Rashid Khan – The 3-time PGTI Order of Merit winner
Karandeep Kochhar – The local lad who won the last year’s event with a playoff victory against the mighty Anirban Lahiri.

Format: Stroke Play
The tournament is a 72-hole stroke-play event with the cut being declared after 36 holes. The top-50 players and ties will make the cut for the final two rounds. The event will witness participation by 129 golfers (126 professionals and three amateurs). The event is a part of the international golfing calendar with Official World Golf Ranking (OWGR) points allocated to it. The top 5 finishers at the event will earn OWGR points.
