Youngblood Yuvraj Singh Sandhu played another solid game of golf at the picturesque Digboi Golf Links to hold the lead going into the final round of IndianOil Servo Masters.

Chandigarh lad Yuvraj fired a spectacular 5-under 67 on Friday to reach a total 15-under 201 in three days of the tournament.Sandhu, who is seeking his first win on the professional golf tour of India, had seven birdies against two bogeys in his third round to grab an edge of two strokes over veteran Om Prakash Chouhan.

On the other hand, Om Prakash Chouhan recorded a 67 in the third round to move up two spots to second place at 13-under 203 and be the closest contender to the leader.

Six-time PGTI champion Om Prakash Chouhan, who was lying two off the lead in fourth place at the halfway stage, started his third-day journey on a slow note and was one-over for the day till the fifth hole.

However, he recovered well and made amends by making six birdies in a row on the 15th, 16th, and 17th holes to narrow the gap on the leader.

M Dharma of Bengaluru sank five birdies and a bogey during his 68 to gain two spots and be placed tied third at 11-under 205.

Chandigarh’s Harendra Gupta, a former winner in Digboi, slipped one place to join Dharma in tied third following his round of 70 featuring four birdies and two bogeys.

Dhruv Sheoran, with the help of four birdies and eagles against two bogeys, managed to card 4-under 68 to claim fifth place at 10-under 206.
