Amandeep Drall takes first-round lead in 5th leg of WPGT

Amandeep Drall carded a brilliant 3-under 69 in the opening round to grab a three shot lead at the fifth leg of Hero WPGT.
Drall, who won the Hero WPGT 2020-21, started a bit slow as in the first-nine holes she only managed to score 1-over 37.
But she had a completely error-free back-nine, in which she shot four birdies and five pars to end her day as a table topper with a score of 3-under 69.
Jahanvi Bakshi, one of the most consistent performers on WPGT, shit an even-par 72 to occupy solo second heading into the second round.

Jahanvi, who turned professional in 2020, mixed three birdies with three bogeys in her opening round to remain in contention at the 54-hole tournament being played at DLF Golf & Country Club in Gurugram.
Rhea Purvi and Nayanika Sanga, both carded a matching 2-over 74 to share 3rd position.
Four golfers, including last event's winner Pranavi Urs, were tied-5th.
The LET regulars, Gaurika Bishnoi and Ridhima Dilawari were a further shot back at 4-over 76.
