Anirban Lahiri builds 1-shot at rain-delayed Players Championship

On the third day of the Players Championship, Indian golfer Anirban Lahiri stole the center stage by taking a one-shot lead in the rain-delayed PGA Tour event.
Lahiri, who started with a blistering 5-under 67, made a little disappointing 1-over 73 at the challenging conditions at the TPC Swaggers in Florida. But he bounced back with six birdies against a single bogey thru 11 holes to claim the crown’s place before the the play was suspended due to darkness.
Our star golfer continues to impress all with his determined approach to grab a one-shot lead at the star-studded event, where most of the high-prolific golfers missed the cut, including Jason Day (69-78), Cameron Young (71-77), Colleen Morikawa (73-75), Justin Rose (69-79), Patrick Cantlay (72-77), Jordan Spieth (72-79), Tony Finau (76-75), and Brooks Koepka (72-81).
