Anirban Lahiri cards 73 in second round, lies T-27 at Texas Open
Anirban Lahiri saw a slight disappointment on Friday as he only managed to card 1-over 73 to slip from overnight tied-7th to tied-27th place.
Lahiri, who started his 2022 Texas Open journey with a solid 4-under 68, faced a roller-coaster in round two, in which he struck two birdies against three bogeys.
The veteran American golfer Ryan Palmer grabbed the lead at the halfway stage after carding a solid 6-under 66 in round two at the challenging TPC San Antonio.

Four-time PGA Tour champion Palmer had a completely bogey-free round and with the help of six birdies he claimed the top spot at the halfway stage of the Valero Texas Open, the final event before the first major of the 2022 PGA Tour season.
Russel Knox, the overnight leader by one stroke, had a dreary second round of 4-over 76 to slip down to tied- 27 position.
Kevin Chappell (65) shot the best round of the day and made a huge jump at the leaderboard as he climbed from overnight tied-53 to second heading into weekend action at the PGA Tour US$ 8,600,000 prize money event.
43-year-old Matt Kuchar, who added 69 to his first-round 67, shared second place with Kevin at 8-under 136.
The defending champion Jordan Spieth was lying at tied-47th after carding 2-under 142 in two days.
Pre-tournament favourite Rory McIlroy had a disappointing run at the TPC as he posted 1-over 145 and missed the cut by two strokes.
Jason Day, Ian Poulter, Cameron Champ, Brendon Grace, Ricki Fowler, Garrick Higgo, Lee Westwood, Matt Wallace, Hideki Matsuyama, and Kevin Tway were among the other notables who failed to make the cut.
