Anirban Lahiri makes cut at Arnold Palmer Invitational
Anirban Lahiri shot a second-straight 1-over 73 to make the cut at the Arnold Palmer Invitational.
After a second-round 73 at the Bay Hill Golf course in Orlando, the 34-year-old Lahiri was tied for 51st position.
Lahiri had a mixed event so far as in the first two rounds challenge he witnessed four birdies against four bogeys and a one-double bogey to score 2-over 146 in two days.
Viktor Hovland, the hot favourite in practically every tournament this season, makes a move once again with a superb performance. He took the lead with a two-shot advantage heading into the weekend after shooting a 6-under 66 in the second round.

Hovland, in his impressive second round, had only made one error on par-4 13th hole that resulted in a bogey, but apart from that, he didn’t make any mistake and smashed seven birdies alongside ten pars to reach the top spot.
Rory McIlroy, the four-time major champion, shot an even-par 72 in the second round to surrender his lead, but that didn't cost him much as he ended his round-two at tied for second courtesy to his opening-round 7-under 65.
Joining McIlroy at second were England’s Tyrell Hatton (69-68) and Talor Gooch (69-68) of America.
Pack of six golfers, including the 15-time European Tour champion Paul Casey, were at tied-6th at the halfway stage of $12,000,000 prize money event.
The cut was applied at 3-over 147, and seventy players managed to qualify for the weekend. Though, the 2018 Masters winner Patrick Reed (72-76) saw back-to-back failure, as he missed second consecutive cut on the PGA Tour.
Among the other notables who missed the cut were Kevin Tway, Brenden Grace, Justin Rose, Luke List, Henrik Stenson, Seamus Power, Kewin Kisner, Garrick Higgo, Matt Wallace and Cameron Tringale.
