Chilean star Joaquin Niemann went wire-to-wire to win the 2022 Genesis Invitational held at Riviera Golf Course in Los Angeles.
The 23-year-old Niemann shot a final-round, even-par 71 to complete a wire-to-wire victory at Riviera for his second PGA Tour win.
Niemann, who started his campaign with two back-to-back solid rounds of 8-under 63s followed by a decent 3-under on day three to open the final day as a hot favourite to win the title.
Though the young golfer struggled a little bit on the final day and only managed to produce an even-par, but his moderate last round won’t affect him much as he claimed a comfortable win at Riviera by two shots.

2021 British Open winner Collin Morikawa played a solid game of golf on Sunday and posted 6-under 65 to finish as runner-up at 17-under 267.
Cameron Young, who started three-shot behind the leader, had a steady 1-under 70 on the final day to end his run alongside Collin Morikawa.
The young Niemann, in his four-day journey at Riviera, scored 19-under 265 with the help of twenty-one birdies and three eagles against eight bogeys.
Adam Scott and Victor Hovland both carded a matching 14-under 270 for the tournament to finish at tied-4th.While the fourteen-time PGA Tour champion Justin Thomas, who had a blistering first two rounds of 67 and 64; lost his momentum and shot consecutive 1-under 70s in the final two days to finish at solo sixth.
The last player before Niemann to win wire-to-wire In Genesis Invitational was the Hall of Famer Charlie Sifford who accomplished this feat in 1969.
