Shubhankar Sharma misses cut at Steyn City Championship

Indian golfer Shubhankar Sharma missed the cut despite shooting a 4-under 140 in two days at the Steyn City Championship.
Sharma, 25, who started his journey with a solid 3-under 69, shot 1-under 71 on the second day to miss the cut by a single shot at the €1,230,000 prize money event.
South-African Shaun Norris kept his rhythm and added 62 to his first-round 64 to grab a three-shot lead at the midway point.
Shaun Norris had a second-straight completely error-free round on Friday, in which he smashed six birdies and an eagle to claim a handsome lead heading into weekend action.

Even after shooting a superb 6-under 66 in the second round, overnight leader James Hart Du Preez couldn't hang on to the lead and was alone in second place at the halfway point.
Dean Burmester, who shot two back-to-back eagles in round two, was solo third at 13-under 131.
The cut was applied at 5-under 139. Seventy-four professionals made the cut.
Apart from Shubhankar Sharma, the other notables who missed the cut were Justin Harding, Ross Fisher, Steven Brown, Scott Hend, Grant Forrest, Chris Wood, and Jonathan Caldwell.
