THE FINER DETAILS
The K* grind is an evolutionary change based on feedback from some of the best in today’s game. As golf courses have firmed up, and players continue to seek additional grind options in a forgiving sole, this was an opportunity to fulfill those players needs by adding some hand ground elements resulting in
the K* Grind. The K* sole started with a Low Bounce K that has sole modifications adding heel-to-toe relief for open face shots and pre-wear to reduce digging on square face shots.
The K* fulfilled the needs of players who wanted a K Grind that would sit closer to the ground when the face is open, and that would dig less when struck in a square position. These sole changes allowed players to enjoy the bunker performance they expected from a K Grind while adding the versatility they wanted for better greenside performance.
Features-
- Maximum Spin - SM10’s new grooves are cut to the edge to maximize spin. Each Vokey wedge is 100% inspected for utmost quality and performance, and a localized heat treatment is applied to the impact area to double the durability of the groove.
- Precise Distance & Trajectory Control - The best of both worlds. SM10 goes to new heights, taking the forward center of gravity (CG) and raising it even further, promoting a more controlled ball flight and solid contact. Hit it closer more often.
- Ultimate Shot Versatility - Your swing is unique and requires a unique wedge. Finding the right grind for your swing type will provide you flawless contact, so you can be prepared to hit every kind of wedge shot in all conditions. For every shot, every lie, every course, there’s a grind fit for your swing.

All the magic in the wedge can be found in its sole. Bounce is simply the angle created between the leading edge and the lowest point of the sole or trailing edge. This is the part of the wedge that hits and moves through the ground or bounces off when you hit the ball. It's what helps you achieve proper contact, control and spin on your wedge shots.
WHAT LOFTS TO CARRY
Most professionals carry three or four wedges in their bag to offer variation and selection to their short game. The key in choosing a set of wedges is to make sure that there are no big gaps in loft between the lowest lofted iron in your bag and the first wedge, further also between each wedge. It's recommended to have four degrees of difference between each wedge. For example, if your pitching wedge has a 48° loft then you should have a 52° gap wedge, a 56° sand wedge, and a 60° lob wedge.
